I'm all about using the power of nature to help people heal and transform their lives. Nature is my passion and my purpose, where I've seen firsthand the transformative power of being in nature. It has become my life's work to help others experience that same sense of renewal and rejuvenation.
As the founder of As One Flight, LLC, a certified NYS Hiking Guide, and Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), I am dedicated to helping our youth, women and professionals achieve a holistic lifestyle of ever-evolving health and wellness through nature, wellness, and service.
I am passionate about using fitness as a tool to help others feel and look their best, but it's about more than just physical health. It's about finding joy and solace in the beauty of the natural world and using that connection to achieve a sense of inner peace and purpose. I believe that by focusing on ourselves first, we can show up as the best version of who we are and better serve others.
For me, it's not just about the science and the environmental advocacy, although those are important. It's about the personal connection to nature that I feel in every cell of my being. It's about the way that being in nature can quiet the noise of our busy lives and help us see what really matters. That's the journey that I want to take others on - a journey of self-discovery and transformation that will leave them feeling more alive, more connected, and more fulfilled than ever before.
Nature has been my lifeline. I haven't always been the person I am today - calm, joyful, and driven. As a child, I struggled with being sensitive and had a short temper, searching for acceptance and purpose. But nature was always there for me, a constant source of peace and renewal. When I was anxious, I'd look out my window and feel the calmness of the trees, the contentment of the birds, the beauty of the flowers, and the cleansing power of thunderstorms. I would intentionally get lost in the woods or other random places, just to escape my troubles.
My love for nature was suppressed for a long time, until I went back to Jamaica and saw the vibrant rivers there. Then, at 19, I met "Picasso," a monk who would wake up early in the morning to observe nature. He showed me that just like nature, our lives can be full and lacking nothing if we slow down and appreciate the beauty around us. As a seasoned hiker with over 20 years of experience in the Hudson Valley, I've discovered that getting outside in nature can help center and ground us on what really matters. Hiking is a lifestyle that I personally promote because it's a tool for personal healing, reflection, and awareness. Our hikes are designed to provide you with tools for mindfulness and physical fitness, while immersing you in the beauty of nature. As we embark on our journeys together, you will encounter various terrains, just like life, some may be easier than others, but each step will be unique. Whether you find yourself feeling out of breath or full of energy, we will allow you to experience it all without any distractions.
Our focus is on creating a safe space for you to connect with yourself, to process your emotions and feelings. If you prefer quiet time, that's okay too. Our goal is to guide you through your mindfulness practice, helping you feel at ease and prioritize self-care.
